Dies At Pennsboro

Mrs. Genevieve Collins Wallot, 74, retired school teacher died Saturday night, July 18, 1959, at 11:35 o’clock at her home in Pennsboro.

She was born April 20, 1885 in Ritchie County, a daughter of the late Creed and Susan Haymond Collins and was a lifelong resident of that county. For a number of years she served as teacher at Pennsboro High School. In 1926 she was married Aime J. Wallot who survives. Also surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Mary W. Hatcher of Bluefield, and Mrs. Betty Collins Pribble of Pennsboro, and a nephew, Dr. Creed C. Greer, Clarksburg.

She was a member of the Trinity Methodist church of Pennsboro, the Pennsboro Women’s club and the Daniel Davidson Chapter of the G.A.R. at Clarksburg.

Services were held Monday at 2pm at the Rogers Funeral Home at Pennsboro with Rev. J. D. Shaffer officiating. Burial was made in the Pennsboro Masonic cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Lindsey Foster, Dr. Harry Stoops, Dr. C.W. Wilcox, Dr. Thomas Griffith and John Statler.
